This November, the PGH Equality Center gives thanks for the LGBTQIA+ community!
All proceeds from the 5K support the PEC initiatives. Swag includes a rainbow mask made by Honor Your Body Wellness, rainbow headband, and RBG inspired vote shirt!
Run/walk/drive the 5K with this #GetTheVoteOUT playlist made by our Office Manager.
PGH Queer Families Safe Place
Community House Presbyterian Church and the Pittsburgh MamaBears have partnered to create a safe space for queer people during this time. Each month they are hosting a physically distanced game night on the 2nd Saturday (6:30pm) and a movie night on the 4th Saturday (6:30pm). November’s movie is Steel Magnolias focusing on a theme of community.
Teen Book Club
The PGH Equality Center is beginning our Teen Book Club this month! Please join us this month as we read Simon vs. The Homo-Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. We will meet via Zoom on the fourth Monday of each month (November 23). If you do not have a copy of the book please reach out to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to receive a digital or physical copy of the book for free with a Library card. You may also buy the book on any selling platform (BookShop, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, or local bookstore).
With the appointment of Amy Coney Barret to the Supreme Court of the United States, marriage equality and other rights for the LGBTQIA+ community are at risk. In light of this, we have compiled a list of wedding officiants who will do COVID safe weddings in the Western PA area. Follow the link below to see the list. If you are not listed and would like to be listed, please email email@example.com.
