Gender-Affirming Care Providers

About the Directory

Finding healthcare providers specially trained in the delivery of gender affirming care can be challenging. To help you in identifying potential health care providers, we have compiled a listing of over 220 gender affirming care practitioners. Our goal in publishing this directory is to offer a comprehensive resource to help identify gender affirming care providers and improve access to healthcare services for the transgender community.

The directory is comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants), nurses, psychologists, social works, counselors, and therapists. We have included providers trained is as many medical, surgical, and behavioral specialties as possible to address a wide range of healthcare needs – from routine primary care to specialized treatments and procedures. Provider options encompass both community and university-based practices, as well as organizations specializing in tele-health services. In addition to providers located in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, we have included many providers affiliated with medical centers offering gender affirming care services in major cities located in the eastern and midwestern areas of the country. To assist you in finding the most suitable providers based upon your individual preferences, the directory also captures important provider attributes, such as gender, age groups treated, services provided, and foreign language capability.

The directory will be updated on a regular basis to ensure that we are providing the most current information available. We hope you find this directory helpful in your search for care providers to meet your healthcare needs. Click here to see instructions on how to search the database.
