As school begins this Fall, the PGH Equality Center is thinking of all who are in the midst of a major shift in education due to COVID-19. We want you to know that we are here for you.

Teen LGBTQIA+ Book Club

If you are a teen (13-19) or know a teen that is interested in reading LGBTQIA+ books, please email us at We are partnering with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to bring a virtual book club to LGBTQIA+ teens. We will have more details in the coming weeks.

Community Calendar

The PGH Equality Center has put together a community calendar on our website. We have added events for the LGBTQIA+ community, but would like to make sure any events we missed are added. Please complete the Add Event form.

If you have an LGBTQIA+ focus within your organization or are an LGBTQIA+ organization and would like to be listed among the resources for the PGH Equality Center, please fill out our Resource form.


The PGH Equality Center, requires all volunteers to have updated Criminal BackgroundPA Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting (use code: 1KG6ZJ) clearances on file to volunteer. Please send copies of your clearances to to begin volunteering with us!
