Rise Up!: A National Conference for Queer & Trans Youth Organizers

What: A FREE, ONLINE conference
Who: Queer and trans/enby youth (and allies) between the ages of 13 – 24 years old
When: July 26th – July 29th, 2022, 1-8pm EST daily
Where: The conference is hosted on Zoom and Discord. You must register to get the links.
–Ever wanted to learn more about what it means to be a youth organizer?
–Are you already engaging in organizing and activist work in your community, and want to find community with other youth organizers?
–Are you interested in learning more about movements for social change like climate action, police-free schools, and gun control?
Workshops will focus on everything from the intersection of race and queerness, to creating sustainable activism, to how we will create a more just future. Our conference prioritizes the voices, organizing, and safety of black and brown queer and trans youth of color.
Each day will include workshops, community building and organizing spaces, art making spaces, performances, and more. Attendees can drop in for whichever events they chose, but multi-day participation is highly encouraged.
*Conference kits including swag, snacks, and goodies are available for the first 30 youth who register. Kits will be mailed in mid July.
