Pittsburgh Pride Revolution: Too Hot for July
Pittsburgh, we love you and we are back with True T Pgh to bring you a night with DreamDoll!!!!The purpose of Too Hot for July is to honor those lost to, living with, and affected by HIV, and to educate the community about advancements in prevention and treatment that can end the epidemic.
HIV prevention and treatment strategies have greatly improved over the last decade and while our local HIV infections have decreased, there are still alarming disparities among certain populations, particularly young Black men who have sex with men. While HIV can affect anyone, these statistics indicate a public health crisis that is completely preventable, but often overlooked. And we will NOT stay silent about it.
This event will be held outside, and we are shutting down a whole street to recognize, commemorate, and celebrate the community.
Leave your drama with the llamas and wear your bling to the fling!
The event is FREE to the public and will include the following:
A street dance party with amazing sets by premiere Pittsburgh DJs, musical performers, artists, and DreamDoll!
A vogue dance battle (OTA) and a twerk off with cash prizes and trophies coordinated and judged by Pittsburgh Ballroom leaders with beats by DJ Pillz.
No house alliances..
Free HIV and STD Testing and other wellness services provided by Allegheny Health Network’s Center for Inclusion Health and Allies for Health +Wellbeing.
Healthcare professionals on site to answer questions about HIV prevention, treatment, and general wellness.
A vendor marketplace featuring some of our favorite small businesses.
Food and drink will be for sale from KLVN, Spirit, Goodlander, and more!
