Financial Literacy Workshop

True T PGH partners with our community friends from Citizens Banks to provide FREE Financial Literacy training for LGBTQIA+ community members and beyond. Meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month, and the curriculum is specially designed to meet the needs of the average individual living through today’s difficult times. Materials are culturally sensitive to the diverse True T PGH community and tackle the following topics:

Learn the importance of creating and using a budget to accomplish your financial goals.
Your Financial Future
Your Financial Future is an interactive and engaging workshop that is focused on the basic fundamentals of banking that we have heard from students are most important to them as they prepare for life after high school
Financial Aid Basics
Learn about the Financial Aid process and get an overview of the different options to pay for college. Contact Your YPB BDO for Handout
Identity Theft 101
Learn about identity theft, how it occurs, how to prevent it, and what to do if you become a victim.
Score Some Points – Understanding and Raising Your Credit Score
Learn about the importance of credit scores, what impacts your score, and what actions you can take to raise it.
Understanding How to Manage Your Debt
This workshop helps individuals understand and manage debt. Learn the difference between good debt and bad debt.
